A Little More about Karisa Prestera

Karisa has been practicing The Usui System of Reiki Healing since 1994 and has been a Master Level Practitioner since 2004. She studied and received her level 1 & 2 training from her father Nick Prestera in Plainville, Masachusetts. I then studied and received her Reiki Master certification under Linda Ball, in Garland, Texas in 2004. She has benefitted immensely from Reiki in her personal life and has helped many others achieve peace, energy and optimal health and healing through Reiki over the years.

Karisa began “Your Daily Reiki Austin” in 2011 as a for profit business but ended it before it really began when she became pregnant with her daughter and didn’t have the energy to keep up the business. After the COVID crisis that struck our planet in 2020, she decided she wanted to contribute to making the world and individual lives better by offering free Reiki sessions for all who cared to receive them. Thus the start of the Daily Reiki Project.

In addition to being a Reiki Master, Karisa is also a Web designer, a mother, a chef, and certified yoga instructor. She enjoys yoga, reading, cooking, painting, camping, hiking. spending time with family and friends and the beach – which is always calling her to return.
